A NEW PANDEMIC, A MUTUAL PAIN

COVID-19, abbreviated from CORONA virus disease 2019 that was first out broken in China, is now detected in more than 100 countries throughout the globe. Consequential precautionary measures are being taken not only on the state level, but individual efforts are being considered equally crucial to contain the spread of this novel virus. WHO has lamented it a state of International Emergency & those countries that were always busy in battling with each other, are now battling against this pandemic. They can join hands as well because everyone’s on the same boat now & feeling a mutual pain; and why not? Which state wants a miserable number of casualties on the level that their corpses have to be quarantined as well?
Throughout the homo sapiens history, world has witnessed several pandemic catastrophes. Previously, during World War-1 epoch, Spanish Flu (1918-1920) effected 27% of the world population & more than 50 million fatalities were counted worldwide. This was the 1st generation of H1N1 Influenza, with the second being the Swine Flu 2009, which also spread rapidly and proved deadly. Before that, Plague (1343-1353), also known as “Black Death” another global pandemic killed the masses indiscriminately. Among all these infectious pandemics, on thing was common that they all transmitted in human bodies either from animals or birds. Black Death spread from rodents, H5N1 & H1N1 Influenza (Spanish & Swine Flu) from birds, including chickens & now Corona Virus from direct contact with rats, bat, camels, cats etc. This makes us think how a human being is prone to getting infection under unhygienic techniques. We being the superior animals are taught to use water and many chemicals as washing up tools. And once they start going against our nature outdistancing ourselves from animals that are more prone to carry such infections, we get immunocompromised making us vulnerable to highly infectious diseases that first segregates us from our own society & then leads us to the death bed. Similar is the case with Cholera outbreak, that transfers from one person to another using water contaminated with animal feces.
Above is the image being shared hundred times on social media that claims outbreak of one new pandemic disease occurs after every 100 years. But scientists have declared that it's beyond facts. Whether it's viral or bacterial, it spreads due to our own negligence & ignorance haphazard to time or date.
Now since every country is in a state of war against this disease, they're leaving no stones unturned to train their masses to stay as cleaned as possible & maintain a distance from animals, including their own pets and cattle. Every state has to cooperate with each other in this matter by protecting their migrants as their guests & keeping minimal movement until the last sufferer gets recovered. Moreover, remote & online working as well as remote learning trends are also being opted in every state. Schools have been closed, international & local sports tournaments have been cancelled, tourism spots have banned tourists entry, weddings functions have been confined to houses with least number of guest, people have been told to stay away from crowds & minimise their unnecessary local tours. International tours have already been banned. Not all kind of offices can be closed, not even partially, but those who are exposed to the environment outside have to keep themselves cleaned to contain the spread; they need to wash their hands more often & avoid direct contact with other & not to mention wear masks.  This all is being done and has to be done as a precautionary measures on global level. Because we equally have to take it seriously & keep our ecosystem cleaned. Ignorance is not always a bliss after all & because we are feeling a mutual pain.
