Leap Year's Special News, What do We Want?

February 29, 2016, I woke up with two Leap year's special news for Pakistan. First, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy was served with another Oscar Award, kudos to her. Second, execution of Mumtaz Qadri, an alleged Aashiq-e-Rasool, assassin of Salman Taseer (26th governor of Punjab) in 2011. Another news which was on air was a widespread public outrage against the conviction of Mumtaz Qadri, just because his supporter thought since Qadri was an Aashiq-e-Rasool (PUBH), so whatever he did was right without knowing the fact what he did was justified by law or not; or if Salman Taseer was proven guilty of any blasphemy or not. Social media was also serving as a battlefield with #Qadrihanged hashtag ranking 2nd on Twitter. People were found fighting, abusing & squabbling with each other, some just opinionizing & others just mellowing. Here is how some of them reacted: https://twitter.com/JaiserAbbas/status/704225979493961728 https://twitter.com/aamir_asa_/status/704237589776171008 https://twitter.com/ShahidSrfraz/status/704301715961606144

In this scenario, quondam partisans of Capital Punishment Law in Constitution of Pakistan were talking against this sentence when justice finally prevailed, https://twitter.com/MARahman131111/status/704249821218086912
and some colluding, finding excuses by mentioning other pending cases & comparing an act of justice with justice. https://twitter.com/razamaq1/status/704255738366058496 https://twitter.com/AmirAbbasi89/status/704241396446863360
Some are still chanting #GoNawazGo on it just because of their personal & political hatred for Nawaz Sharif & that they're so habitual of chanting their favorite line.
On the contrary, those who used to previously condemn capital punishment in Pakistan law, were now celebrating it. https://twitter.com/HaroonRsh/status/704199185474723840 https://twitter.com/sheikhejazahmad/status/704288173816414208
Some just appreciated this move; https://twitter.com/Bearded_01/status/704317608212955136 https://twitter.com/sheikhejazahmad/status/704288173816414208
Hence more mouths will have more talks. But I just couldn't understand what some people really wanted & why they were so confused yet very confident while cursing our government. Have we been so addicted to not get contented that whenever there's some light there, we find fault in the light too? At one point, people were saying 'Qadri did the right thing". On the other hand, they're saying "Qadri was too indigent to render a pardon for himself". Here a question arises, if he was right, why did he need pardon for then?
I asked a Qadri's supporter, "Why are you cursing and abusing others?"
He replied, "because Qadri was a true Aashiq-e-Rasool (PBUH) & he killed a person who was found guilty of blasphemy by demanding amendments in blasphemy laws" and then he cursed me too to burn in hell along with Salman Taseer because I demanded didn't condemn this leap year's special act. Have I committed blasphemy too by not supporting him? Should I now be waiting for another Qadri to kill me?
We're the people who almost get blind in vehement that we forget there's a term called "Tolerance". If we don't, then shouldn't we be killing each & every Non-Muslim who is seen posting derogatory comments on our Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on social media? (Nauzbillah). Just pay a visit to some Indian news media pages on facebook, and you'll see hundreds of Hindus committing this very crime while commenting on various post & we can't do nothing but tolerate & finally ignore them, because our religion teaches us tolerance & doesn't allow us to mock other religions in return. But since we can't kill such people, all we do is "sit in front of our social media channels, challenge others' faith, anathematize each other & try to prove the strength of our own faith through that. Or what else we do is protest on roads against such acts & ask some lame questions that if the criminals of Model Town Incident haven't been executed yet; or if Shahrukh Jatoi Case is still undetermined, why hanged Mumtaz Qadri then. I mean, Seriously? We can't even decide what we are more concerned about? If we are really worried about other pending cases looking forward to some justice, then why don't we protest or raise over voices for those unresolved cases in lieu of an outrage over Qadri's conviction? But surely one day, we'll decide what we actually want. Till then, let's give some tolerance a chance.
